PrivacyPolicy
Your privacy matters to us. This policy explains what we collect, why, who we share it with, and the choices you have.
Last updated: July 4, 2026
Door Serv Pro ("we," "us," or "our") is a garage door service company headquartered in Inwood, WV, serving communities across West Virginia, Maryland, Virginia, and Pennsylvania. This Privacy Policy describes how we collect, use, share, and protect your information when you visit our website, request service, call or text us, or otherwise interact with our business.
Information We Collect
Information you provide directly
- Contact details you enter in our forms — name, phone number, email address, and ZIP code
- Service address and details about your garage door or project
- Documents you choose to share, such as a competitor's estimate submitted for a free second opinion
- Appointment preferences entered in our online scheduling tool
- Service history, invoices, and correspondence with our team
Information collected automatically
- Device and usage data when you browse our website — IP address, browser type, device information, pages visited, and how you interacted with the page
- Call data when you phone one of our tracking numbers, including the number you dialed from, call time, and call duration (see Calls & Recording)
We do not collect payment card information through this website. Payments are handled at or after your appointment through secure third-party payment systems, and financing applications are completed directly on our financing partner's secure website — never on ours.
Phone Calls & Call Recording
We use call tracking technology provided by ServiceTitan. When you call a number displayed on this website or in our advertising, the call may be routed through a tracking number, and calls with our office may be monitored or recorded for quality assurance, training, and record-keeping purposes. By continuing a call after any recording notice, you consent to that recording where consent is required by law.
Call data (caller number, time, duration, and recordings where made) is stored in our field-service management system and handled under this policy.
SMS / Text Message Program
Our website forms include an optional checkbox to consent to receive calls and text messages from Door Serv Pro at the number you provide, including automated and promotional messages. Consent is not a condition of purchase. If you opt in:
- We send appointment reminders, technician ETA updates, follow-ups on your request, and limited promotional offers related to garage door service
- Message frequency varies; message and data rates may apply
- Reply STOP at any time to opt out, or HELP for help
We do not sell SMS opt-in lists, and we do not share your mobile number or SMS consent with unrelated third parties for their own marketing. Text messaging originator opt-in data will not be shared with third parties except as needed to deliver the messages you requested.
How We Use Your Information
We use the information we collect to:
- Provide, schedule, and complete service requests and estimates
- Process invoices and payment records for completed work
- Send appointment confirmations, reminders, and maintenance notifications
- Respond to inquiries and provide customer support
- Measure and improve our services, website, and advertising
- Maintain warranty and service-history records
- Detect and prevent fraud or abuse, and comply with legal obligations
Do Not Sell or Share My Personal Information
Door Serv Pro does not sell your personal information. To opt out of the sharing of information collected by analytics and advertising cookies (where that could constitute a "share" under applicable state law), use the control (also linked in the footer of every page) to disable those cookies, or contact us using the details below. We treat the Global Privacy Control browser signal as a valid opt-out of sale/sharing and honor it automatically.
Data Retention
We keep personal information only as long as needed for the purposes described above — typically for the life of your customer relationship with us, plus the period needed to honor warranties, maintain accurate business and tax records, and meet legal requirements. When information is no longer needed, we delete or de-identify it.
Data Security
We use industry-standard safeguards to protect personal information from unauthorized access, alteration, disclosure, or destruction — including encrypted connections (HTTPS) across this website, reputable vendors, and restricted access to customer records. No method of transmission or storage is 100% secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security, but we work to protect your information at every step.
Your Privacy Rights & Choices
Depending on where you live, you may have legal rights over your personal information. Virginia residents have rights under the Virginia Consumer Data Protection Act (VCDPA), and residents of other states may have similar rights under their state's law. As a matter of practice, we extend these choices to all of our customers:
- Access — confirm whether we process your personal information and receive a copy of it
- Correction — ask us to fix inaccurate information
- Deletion — ask us to delete personal information we hold about you, subject to record-keeping we must retain by law
- Opt out — opt out of marketing emails (unsubscribe link), texts (reply STOP), and targeted-advertising cookies (browser or banner settings)
- Appeal — if we decline a request, you may appeal by replying to our decision, and we will respond as required by applicable law
To exercise any of these rights, contact us using the details below. We will verify your request using the contact information associated with your account and respond within the time required by applicable law. We will never discriminate against you for exercising a privacy right.
Children's Privacy
Our services and website are intended for adults — homeowners, property managers, and businesses. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided us personal information, contact us and we will delete it.
Third-Party Websites
Our website links to third-party sites — for example, our financing partner, manufacturer resources, and review platforms. Those sites have their own privacy policies, and we are not responsible for their practices. Review their policies before submitting information there.
Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we make material changes, we will update the "Last updated" date at the top of this page. Continued use of our website or services after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
